How you can tell if JMZ Farms is truly caring for their chickens?

Hey there, egg lovers!

I’m Michael Jimenez, the proud 22-year-old owner of JMZ Farms here in Colleyville, TX. If you’re wondering how you can tell if JMZ Farms is truly caring for our chickens, I’m here to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what we do every day to make sure our hens are happy, healthy, and laying the best eggs you’ve ever tasted.

Why Transparency Matters

One of the most common questions I get is, “How do I know you really care for your chickens?” I get it—there’s a lot of talk out there about organic, pasture-raised eggs, but not everyone shows you what’s really going on. That’s why I’m inviting you to join me online to see the magic happen for yourself!

Follow Us on Social Media

I’m happy to announce that JMZ Farms is on Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter)! By following us, you’ll get to watch me do my daily chores, like feeding the hens, collecting eggs, and even giving our two lovable livestock guardian dogs, Gunner and Apollo, their belly rubs. We believe in being 100% transparent, and that means you can see exactly how we care for our hens every single day.

A Day in the Life at JMZ Farms

Every day, I start by checking on our hens. They get fresh water, plenty of feed, and all the space they need to roam around our 5-acre farm. Did you know that happy hens lay more eggs? It’s true! In fact, hens that are well-cared for can lay up to 300 eggs a year! That’s a lot of omelets.

But it’s not just about numbers. Our hens are part of the family here, and we make sure they live in a stress-free environment. You’ll see them enjoying their time outside, pecking at bugs, scratching in the dirt, and just being chickens. This natural behavior is what makes our eggs taste so fresh and delicious.
